Turns out my phone died at some point last night. I know I was still good when I was trading jabs with Trikkeh, but at some point after that even though I still have a service icon and it LOOKS like I'm sending texts I get nothing back and no one gets them. So if anyone is going to try to get in touch with me it looks like it's going to have to bee email till I get this sorted out.

Anyway, today is definately taking a turn for the better. Turned out there was an audit this morning, but we seemed to have made it through well enough. With that out of the way I am free to continue gathering supplies for the camping con later in October.

Stuff I still need:
> More glowing stuff
> Maybe that super huge blacklight that Sey and I saw in the Halloween store.
> I need to get a prepaid card to purchase those samples online for Anjel.
> Get backup tents/party tents for our escape from the populated areas.
> Rope. You always need rope.
> Lots of stuff I can't think of at the moment.

Other than my constant excitement over the upcoming events there's a Left 4 Dead multiplayer throwdown at a friends place tonight. I'm looking forward to some headshot goodness =D

I have an MP3 player plugged into the speakers at work so I can listen to dance music while I chat with friends and read over the Tyra Banks drama. That I am getting paid by the hour to do this is no bad thing =3

I just need to get the 26th off and I will be square for Oklacon, but so far I'm still stuck coming in that monday at 3pm. Here's hoping though. Along similar lines I just about have Sey roped into going along with me. I'm sure there are several friends of mine reading this that will be looking forward to seeing her again. It's always sweet to get a new con crew rolling after all.

I was going to avoid buying snacks and gear till I got physically closer to the con to cut down on packing space and weight, but we came across two things last night while shopping that we just had to get. Don't want to ruin the suprise, but I'm sure they are going to be a big hit.

If it will ever stop raining I'm going to put my tent up and let it air out a bit. I need to get a new air matress or camping mat though. I'll likely see if I can't get my hands on another tent or two, I'm not sure how many people have their own and if we are going to have our own gypsy den of ill deeds we need more tents. Hell, even if no one sleeps in them I want a decent number of tents. We could at least use them for storage.

Good lord what a con.

I do not regret a single dime that went into that con even if I thought I had over prepared at first. If nothing else, my newest claim to fame is that Bubble guns have been hence forth banned from that convention =3

Swimming, drinking, jumping hurdles, singing, dancing, sneaking, strutting, snacking, cussing, string fighting, and a little bit of spanking. All in all I would say we did what we went for, and I made some awesome new friends on top of hanging with some classics.

Even going to work the day after the con can't really get me down, if nothing else it's just giving me a break from doing laundry. I slept for just about 12 hours after my traditional welcome home bubble bath. Used the last of it actually, I need to buy some more.

Alas, my narrative is a bit disjointed and bare boned, but that's what comes from posting from work as has been my habit for a while now. Getting to the last 30 minutes of my shift so I'm going to start clearing up paper work and getting the last of my duties out of the way.

Later!

1) funeral - The preacher got all of the survivors names wrong even though he had them all written down on a bright blue sheet of paper wedged in his bible. Well, he got the grandson-in-law right, but damn.

2) Return home - played a bit of gears of war with Jason, discussed our distaste for that guys style, then coma till the next day

3) ???

4) Tonight - Made Jello shots for the con, hopefully confirmed the room arrangements but I'll see about that later, and now getting to the pizza I picked up after work from walmart.

Today was good. It was slow enough that I didn't have to run around like mad, and busy enough that we'll make plan this month. Very pleasing. On top of that I was actually able to take a lunch today, had some really good thai. Bangkok is now Sunai of Thailand, this is a good thing because the food is SO much better now. One of their appetizers is actually a small crisp cup filled with delicious that you spoon sauce over to your liking before you pop the whole thing in your mouth and enjoy.

There are five things that I want/need to happen when I get home:
1) Ferret maintenance - non-negotiable
2) Shower - Alternatively bubble bath but at the cost of other items.
3) Karate Class - I need exercise, but I don't really wanna
4) Dinner - Noodles does not a full days food make
5) Internet Time - Could be a good way to cheer up, but not compatible with bubble bath

There is also the chance I'll just sit down and refuse to move till either I run out of pirated films, books, or art inspiration before crawling into the shower and then possibly sleeping there. I wonder if I could sleep in a shower? Sounds kinda cool.

Closing time.

So I've been out of it again, but this time with medical reasons. I was getting more and more congested till I finally just went to the doctor. X-ray showed my lungs were still clear and my bone structure was "unremarkable" so it's all in my tubes it seems.

Pills here to take care of the propblem and I haven't needed an inhaler hit since about day 2 so it's safe to say I'm well and on my feet again. Downside is that I skipped paying my cell phone to cover Rx and general Doctor costs, hence no cell service right now. Sorry to any friends that have tried to text or call me since this all went down. I still have net at home and a working land line, I just let go of the not so bare neccesity of my cell.

In other news I've been teaching Shotokan Karate to my room mates as a good "get off my ass and do something" incentive. It's so much more appealing to me to do something like that than it is for me to just up and decide to work out. Since we're in the basics right now it's mostly flexability and general technique training which is all around good for anyone's health.

I'm hoping to drag my brother into it when he gets back from what ever trip he's on to double check my memory of kata and training order. It's been years since I helped teach classes at USM so I'm a wee bit worried I've mixed something up and I just don't seem to have any of my old stuff around except some gi.

To Craig, should he come across this during his net rovings, you should visit us at some point! So many of the Friday night games have been cancelled mixed with my recent sickness I have no idea what is going on anymore. Drop by or at least send a msg this way some time, man. We miss you.

I'm working from 3pm to 11pm now which has really messed with my social time on the net, though irl we had a decent party at our place last Sunday. We had the place cleaned up and organized so it actually looked like someone's house instead of just a bunch of storage rooms.

With the help of Josh my bedroom looks like a cozy den of nerdhood now instead of a just a bed and some shelf space. I just need a bigger computer monitor so I can watch movies from the bed and I would be totally set. Well, that and we need to get a wireless adaptor for the xbox so I can lose the lan cable. That thing throws off fung shui like a steak dinner at a vegetarian convention.

Anyway, I'm really pumped about the steampunk ball this coming January. Hopefully my friends will go with the Pendulum of Versailles: The Nobility of Steam concept I threw at Paige earlier. It should prove to be boss enough to make Russians bad ass again. Of course, before I get too excited about something happening so far in the future there is MFM to contend with. Time off, check. Local friend going, check. Distant friends confirmed, check. Now all I need to do is put together a pack-o-many-things and life will be good. Need glow sticks, and rec gear for all the things we have planned after all. Of all the cons I go to MFM has the least to do with the city it happens to be in and the most to do with just chillin out with the con folk for as long as the magic lasts.

Thing One is Good:

My friend has downloaded The Real Ghostbusters Animated series. It now lives in the XBrick 360 and can be enjoyed on way too big tv in the long room. I am pleased by it's delicious 80's spiciness.

Thing Two is Bad:

Transformers 2 was better than the first. Optimus Prime kicked ass as he was born to do. I am now out of good things to say about that movie. Without spoilers I can honestly say that two dogs having gay sex, illiterate transformers with terrible ethnic accents and gold teeth, and a tiny decepticon humping a woman's ankle are just a few things you have to look forward to in this "blockbuster."

To use a direct quote from the movie I felt like I was "directly below the robots scrotum" towards the end.

That's right, I'm not dead yet. Generally speaking I am the opposite of dead, just sorta occupied half the time. The other half I wonder why I'm not sleepy while reading at almost twice my normal speed.

Anyway, at work so I can't say much right now, later!
